DEA for EF Racing: a high-performance challenge

Motorsport workshop furnishings by DEA are making inroads into the hearts of racing fans.

Let’s take a look at why, with this new installation for successful racing driver Mr. Enrico Fulgenzi (EF Racing), who took first place at the 6H Abu Dhabi on 23 February.

Motorsport workshop furnishing requirements

Those who prepare racing cars have a number of different requirements, and not just in terms of equipping the cars themselves. Choosing the tools, components, flooring and furniture units for the workshop is a stage of preparation in the same race. The one you want to win!

We were contacted by EF Racing to reconfigure their entire motorsport workshop furnishing space from scratch, and DEA gladly took up the challenge, coming as it did from an expert racing driver like Mr. Enrico Fulgenzi.

EF Racing’s requirements and DEA’s motorsport workshop design

The team's needs included:

•        a design that took into account the workshop’s architectural barriers
•        fully integrated cables
•        fully customised furniture

The structure of Mr. Enrico’s motor sport workshop

A column, a corner, a drop: these can all affect furnishing installation and limit the choice of furniture. In Mr. Enrico’s case, many of the furniture units had to be positioned centrally in the workshop, near a load-bearing column, with fully integrated power cables and reels.

All this was made possible through the use of the AR-077.02 module and the TOBLERON workbench profile.

The AR-077.02 module: the solution for reels in the workshop

The AR-077.02 is a compact power module, integrated with DEA furniture. It can hold up to two air or power reels, and two industrial or domestic power sockets depending on requirements.

This provides a location for any cables and hoses that did not previously have a place in the workshop, with an impressive result in terms of function and aesthetics.

In the photo you can see cables descending the central column and located directly in the DEA unit, thanks to the special pre-cuts in DEA's modules.

The Tobleron: the solution for power sockets

The Tobleron workbench profile allows you to work in total safety, as the power sockets and the controls are integrated inside the modules, improving the motorsport workshop in terms of aesthetics and functionality as a result.

Customising the motorsport workshop: colours and modules on request

Mr. Enrico’s other request was to fully customise all the furniture in his workshop to match the colours of his racing cars.

workshop furniture layout

In recent years, DEA has focused heavily on the customisation of its products, understanding the necessity in sectors like motorsports to create bespoke furnishing for their clients. This is one reason why our racing furniture is appreciated all over the world.

The result can be seen in this furnishing installation for the EF Racing workshop

The colours of the modules match the colours of Mr. Enrico’s Porsches, the DEA modules blending in for a truly harmonious overall effect.

A winning team

We are proud to have satisfied the wishes of Mr. Enrico Fulgenzi and the entire EF Racing team, furnishing a pleasant-to-use and functional workshop space.

DEA listened carefully to the client’s requirements, and, after analysing the floor plan of the workshop and speaking with Mr. Enrico himself, came up with a high-performance project that fully satisfied the client.

Mr. Enrico Fulgenzi triumphed in the 6H Abu Dhabi race and we would like to celebrate this incredible achievement with him and his team.

DEA has always supported champions and their workshop teams, because we share their passion and determination.
